Special Note to the Temple community from Cantorial Soloist Daniel Leanse:
Hello Friends,
Having made the difficult decision to move back to California this summer, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you all for the kindness you have shown me over the past two years. If I didn’t have family and friends in California, I would never leave. I love it here in New York City.
I thank every one of you who has come to services and opened your heart in song helping us create a mood of prayer and community for all. I have especially enjoyed working with your gifted and delightful children in Hebrew School and individually for B’nei Mitzvah. Watching their progress and seeing their achievements is what makes my job so gratifying.
I have loved dancing with the Sifrei Torah on 12th Street, the Synaplex services in all their eclectic delight, Anita’s Purim Schpiels with the mighty VT Kids choir, High Holy Days at Cooper Union, the Gesher Concert, every Bar and Bat Mitzvah, our amazing trip to Israel, the great dinner parties and sing-alongs. These are times I will carry with me fondly with my memories of all of you.
With sincere gratitude and affection,
Daniel
