Religious School

20141021162338From Pre-K through Grade 12, The Village Temple Religious School provides a strong foundation in Jewish history and texts, Hebrew and culture, ethics and ritual. We are a member of the Coalition of Innovating Congregations which supports experiential, high-impact and fun camp-inspired learning. Our program empowers our students to feel that Judaism is relevant to their lives, to understand how Jewish ethical principles and belief in social justice can guide them in their relationships within their families, with God, with friends, and with larger community.

FREE TEMPLE MEMBERSHIP FOR NEW MEMBERS! Special offer for families with children entering 1st or 2nd grade. Enroll your child in The Village Temple Religious School and receive a gift of free membership for one year!

The Village Temple Religious School curriculum and programs empower our learners:
• To understand and take pride in the history and sacred texts of the Jews as a people and as a religious community.
• To participate with confidence in Shabbat and holiday services, possessing sufficient knowledge of Hebrew for the prayers to be meaningful.
• To put the principles of Judaism into practice in the context of family, congregation, and community, including acts of Tikkun Olam.
• To develop a personal connection with the State of Israel, its peoples and land.
