Friday, July 1 at 6:45PM – Kabbalat Shabbat Services. Come join our community as we welcome Rabbi Deborah Hirsch to our congregation!

A Jammin’ Jazz Shabbat – Hear the familiar Shabbat prayers in new settings at our annual Jazz Shabbat. Traditional words and favorite jazz standards, including tunes by Kurt Weill, Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen, will lift your spirits. An event for the whole family to sing along and to and enjoy a community dessert following services.

Religious School Family Torah Restoration Workshop. Sofer Yerman engaged Religious School students and adults in a hands-on Torah restoration experience. The participants of the interactive workshop learned the art of Torah repair, cleaning and ongoing care.

 “Souper  Shabbat’’ – Following Shabbat Services warm up with a homemade soup tasting and music! Hila Kulik, an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist will perform a variety of Jewish and Jazz arrangements. 

Jewish Disability Shabbat – and Congregational Dinner– During our Shabbat services our guest speaker will be our own congregant, Faye Ginsburg, author of the The Future of Disability Studies. Assisting with the service will be our 6th graders. Joining them will be American Sign Language interpreter, Reverend Rachel Hollander, and music from our musical director Anita Hollander with Daniel Stein (bass), Holland Hamilton (vocals) and Lisa Loren on the flute.
